WE ARE MOVING TO GEORGIA!

Ahh we are so excited that we can finally reveal the news! We are officially leaving Nj and moving to the south in just a few weeks. This has been in the works for a few months and didnt become official until a few weeks ago. I shared on Instagram that we had news to share and so many people asked if we were expecting a baby haha. I love the baby questions that come once your married.

We are moving about 45 min from downtown Atlanta! I’m a city girl at heart (born & raised in NYC) and I can’t be to far away from the city. Plus we want a more suburban/ small town vibe which what we found with our new home! A few of you asked last week why we were in Atlanta and this is why! We were house hunting/ checking out the areas we might want to be in! So happy to say we have our house as of yesterday and cannot wait to show you guys. Feeling so nervous and excited for this major life change. I am so ready for a change of scenery and exploring a new city!

I wanted to answer some major questions so many have asked me and of course I want to be as transparent as can be. I truly do enjoy sharing my life with you all!

Why are we moving?

The golden question everyone has been asking us. For those who don’t know, my hubby is a pilot for delta. Due to coronavirus, the flying industry has taken a major dip. All NY flying has been cut and to put it in easy terms, he’s being displaced from JFK to ATL. We had a few other cities to pick from but ATL made more sense.

Now we don’t have to move. Since he’s a pilot, he could commute to work like thousands of other people do. The only problem with commuting is your pretty much flying standby to and from work which can be sucky. Meaning that he could be wasting time at an airport waiting to come home instead of just being at his home base. We decided that it’s best for us to just move to his new base and start a life down there!

Are we excited?!

I definitely am excited and Dan not so much haha. My hubby was born and raised in Jersey and has lived in the same house his entire life so it’s going to be a little hard for him. For myself, I have moved around so much between NY & NJ that I honestly don’t mind. I’ve been dying to move down south or just to a new city and this is the perfect opportunity. I’ve gotten to know the northeast cities so well and I’m so excited to be down here and start exploring the south! We are close to so many amazing places nearby.

What about your family and friends?

Our families are excited for us! We all plan at some point to move somewhere in the South. My dad lives in the Tampa Bay Area and so happy that I’m less than 6 hours from him now. Our family in Nj is just 11-12 hours away which isn’t so bad. As for our friends, this is where it hits hard. Luckily we have one friend in the ATL area that we will be seeing! We have our close group of friends that we are going to miss so much. Plus our best friends are the type of people who love traveling and we know they will come down to visit. Luckily with dans benefits, hoping on a flight to Newark is VERY EASY from Atlanta so don’t be surprised if you catch us in NJ all the time lol.

What about your job?

Sadly I’m leaving my job of 6 years but I’m so excited to start working on my career and really put my bachelors to work. So happy to say I’ve already accepted a job offer and start the first week of October! My husband is still going to be flying and probably even more now that flying down here has picked up. Any Atlanta readers wanna hang out?! Let’s be friends!

I am so excited for this new adventure we are embarking on. Get ready for lots of weekend travel, moving content, and us adjusting to our new life. We hope you continue to follow us on this journey!

xoxo
