Christmas Week In NJ!

Hey friends! Anyone else can’t believe how quickly Christmas has come and gone? I feel like i blinked on Halloween and BAM it was the Christmas Day. This year either went so slow from march through June and the summer to now just went by so fast. Who else feels this way?

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Dan and I came home to New Jersey on Tuesday to spend Christmas with both of our families. We saw most of our friends, my favorite little human that I used to nanny and also see my goddaughter. My mom and his mom planned dinner at my parents house and we all got together to eat, laugh, and hang out together! I feel so blessed that our families love getting together and that we don’t have to split our time. I have definetly done enough of my fair share of splitting time ( ya know, divorced parents)We spent the rest of our time seeing our closest friends and just spending quality time together.

This is also the first Christmas that we are technically '“home for the holidays” even though we weren’t really home haha. We usually travel this time of year and take advantage of all the time off. It was super special christmas because not only were we with family, it was also our first married Christmas. Here’s a little recap of our past Christmas Trips.

  • 2015 Key West

  • 2016 Colombia

  • 2017 England & Italy

  • 2018 Euro trip ( Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark)

  • 2019 Florida ( Miami, Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando

One thing that Dan and I made sure we did was spend time alone. Visiting family and friends can be so chaotic that I love making sure that before our trip comes to an end, him and I spend time with each other without any distractions. I love nothing more than coming together and just check in with each other after such a busy time. We love seeing friends but our time together is the most important to us.

As much as we love coming back to visit family and friends, we love going back home and just being back in our own place. We have a few trips planned for the next few months which is so exciting plus a possible out of the country trip?!?!?! I AM READY! Anyways I hope you all are enjoying or excited to finally be over with 2020. I am so ready to see what 2021 brings. If I don’t blog again this week, HAPPY NEW YEARS! Thankful for you all who continue to read my blog and support me.
