LDW In Delaware!

Summer has really come to an end ( even though summer doesn't technically end for another 3 weeks haha). Labor day weekend is the last weekend before school starts for some and just the beginning of the best time of the year. So once LDW is over, it's really over. I didn't have anything planned for Labor Day Weekend but I know I wanted to do something. We just came back from Acadia so we didn't want to go anywhere to far since it was my first weekend back at home (I was at the shore this past week). So I looked at my list of places to see and things to do and decided it was finally time to visit Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware. The brewery is about 3 hours from home so I decided to go overnight and make it a two day trip.

We drove out Friday after work and stayed in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Honestly, I've never heard people talk about the beaches in Delaware which I don't understand because the beach towns were so cute. We went out to breakfast in Bethany Beach and it was such a great beach towns. Sadly we didn't do any beach time because the weather was sucky but It got me thinking about future beach trips here.

We drove up to Rehoboth beach after breakfast to do some shopping at the outlets. They had some great stores at the Tanger outlets! I mean who doesn't love outlet shopping?! My bestfriend and I did some major shopping yesterday before we left for the brewery. Now it was time to have some good beer after all that walking.

Now Dogfish head, had their beers a few times but didn't expect the brewery to be so big! It was a great place to come, have food, stay for a tour, or even just to hang out. They have free tours and tours where you get beer, souvenir cups, and a longer tour for just $10. We had our beers and started playing cornhole. The closer we got to the bottom of our glass, the worse we got at the game haha. But honestly it was just a great time. We love friends who love beers and breweries and are so glad that our close bestfriends are brewery lovers too. We've done Sam Adams and Allagash brewery tours together and it's just so much fun.

If you're ever up for a drive or a just weekend trip, head to Delaware! From the breweries to the boardwalks, it's such a good time. You all know I am all about short trips. I know I said that my next trip is unknown but this weekend I booked a short getaway weekend trip! Cant wait for you all to see where I am going. It's a new place for me to see so I am so excited. Hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day Weekend.
