Have You Ever Tried Hypnotherapy?

I hope you are all doing amazing this week! Dan and I are on vacation this week and boy does it feel great. It’s our first big trip since before Covid and it feels amazing to be away for 10 days. We have met up with friends in Seattle and are doing a fun drive to see some of the cool National Parks on the West Coast.

I honestly believe that this is our real “vacation” post Covid. Yes we did some short trips here and there but all them were driving distance. It’s just blows my mind how different the world was a year ago. So many things have changed since the beginning of Covid.

One of those changes is my weight. Oh man I’ve struggled with this for quite some time now. I struggle in the beginning of Covid when I was the most fit ever and the months that led up to me gaining weight. Let me tell you, It’s been hard. I had lost 60 pounds in 2018 and was the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. Then Covid hit and the gyms closed down, my anxiety grew, and bored eating had begun. Even though i did *workout*, it was nothing like the HIIT classes I was doing at Orangetheory. Plus we took up cooking and snacking a lot and before you know it, I had packed on 20 pounds.

Of course after such a big weight loss, I was a bit disappointed in myself. All that just to gain almost half of it back? It’s upsetting and makes starting all over again very hard. I’ve tried to go back to the same *eating* habits as before but it’s just not as easy.

Another type of hypnotherapy that stood out to me was helping with the fear of flying. I know i know, my husband is a pilot so how can I be afraid of them? Well I am terrified of flying no matter how many times I travel. I hated it as a child and hate it even more as an adult. I’ve never considered Hynotherapy until now. Yes we can try new diets or do things to help avoid being afraid like flying but how cool would it be to retrain your mind?
