Midweek Check In || Local ATL Business Part 5

Happy Thursday friends,

I am so glad the weekend is approaching. I need some good rest and also some deep cleaning of the house. As much as I say that, we may also be heading back to NJ so who knows when the cleaning will happen haha. My foot has had a rough week. We went to the doctor and I tore two of the main ligaments on my foot which is why I am feeling so much pain. My whole foot is so swollen and purple. I seriously can’t wait to get back to normal. I miss the gym so much.

I am now in the process of planning the rest of 2021 and we have so many changes coming up. First major change is that my husband and I aren’t renewing our lease in October. Which is insane because we have two months until we have to move out and have no plan. I am kind of excited to move closer to the downtown area and have less of a commute to work. I am also excited to just be closer to all the great towns in the perimeter part of Atlanta. So wish us luck trying to find a new home or possibly new adventure?

I am back to share another local ATL business. Ever wonder how plaques or business lettering is made? East point foundry is here to help with all your custom needs. They have been in business in 1948 and are located in East Point, Georgia. They hand craft rich, high quality cast bronze and aluminum plaques for building signs, corporate facilities, donor recognition and memorials for schools, churches, and private organizations.

They create bronze sculpting’s, castings, architectural, name plates, and lettering. Getting a plaque can be such a unique gift for someone who has lost a loved one or even to commemorate someone who has accomplished amazing in their life. A beautiful bronze plaque to help them keep their memory alive forever in your home or to reward them for an amazing accomplishment. Not only do they create plaques but they also create lettering for businesses all over. Need a custom sign or letting for your new business? Check out East Point Foundry.

Another major thing that East Point Foundry offers to their customers is a bronze pet memorial plaques. Losing a pet is never easy. Whether it’s to keep it on display in your home of in a gravesite, it’s a wonderful keepsake to have in remembrance to your loved pet.

How is a custom plaque made? According to East Point Foundry, there are three steps to creating a plaque. The consist of the backboard, the under plate and the top plate. Every part of the plaque can be customized which allows the customer to create a one of a kind piece. The cool part that in order to engrave the plaque, they use precision etching. It allows the customer to create a unique design. Requesting a quote is super easy. You just fill out the form on their website, let them know what you’re looking for and they’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible.

I love supporting and blogging about local businesses. It’s important to shop local and small businesses. Supporting a small business supports a local family that is trying to live their dream of owning their business. What are some local businesses you have shopped at lately? I am trying to head into downtown ATL one of these weekends and checking out some of their local small businesses. Let me know your favorite one down below. Hope y’all have a great weekend planned Stay tuned for my travel blog post from our road trip next week.
