That Healthy Life Part 2!

It has been 3 months since I completely flipped around my diet! I'm so happy to say that i am feeling, looking, and eating so much better than ever before. In part one of this blog post, i mentioned not jumping on the scale at all. I'm not interested in the number but more in the way my clothes fit and the way i felt mentally and physically. I have stayed far away from the scale since I first started and it has been the best decision ever. I'm not constantly beating myself up if i decide to have dessert. It has really become a lifestyle. I go to restaurants and don't even think twice about what to eat. Yes, I do struggle with certain foods such as pizza but I have been able to come up with healthier versions of it such as almond crust pizza and etc. If you haven't read part 1 of my healthy lifestyle, i recommend you do so you could understand why I had to change my eating habit (That New Fitness Lifestyle Part 1) About two weeks ago, I had to see the doctor regarding a problem with my foot (plantar fasciitis sucks). New doctors meant i needed to jump on the scale for them to take down all my information. I got on the scale facing the opposite way and told the nurse that i didn't want to know my weight. She looked at me weird but agreed to not tell me. My boyfriend was with me so he was able to see the scale. He asked me what my starting weight was before I changed up my diet. When I told him, his face lit up! He wanted me to know how much I've lost because apparently it was more than I thought (i really thought it was 10 or 15 pounds the most). The nurse asked what my goal was and i told her that I wanted to lose 50 pounds. Without hesistating she said "Hunny, your half way there!".... WHAT! I think it took me a good two hours to realize what she was really telling me. As a person who is super hard on herself, this was such a big moment.

I am currently now down 30 pounds ( weighed myself this weekend just to keep track especially after some vacation indulgence). I FEEL AMAZING. It crazy what shedding a few pounds can do to your self esteem. I am excited to see where this healthy journey will lead me as well as my fitness journey (currently doing four days of OrangeTheory). So thankful to my friends and family who have been pushing me and have been so encouraging towards this lifestyle change (Paul for constantly pushing me at OT & Danielle & Beth for answering all my fitness and health questions!). My biggest support system is my boyfriend who tries my new healthy places to eat but also completely cheers me on when I want a piece of carrot cake. I'll be checking in regarding health and fitness every month & also keep checking for a meal prepping post (getting tons of questions on what I eat)! Hope you guys enjoyed reading about my health fitness!
